Jen's bio

A 2008 nominee for "Best Female Comedian" by the Canadian Comedy Awards, Jen Grant got her start doing stand-up comedy in Ottawa, Ont in 1999. She moved to Vancouver, BC in 2003 and it was there that her career really started to progress.

In 2004, Jen performed at the "Just For Laughs" Festival in Montreal. Also in 2004, she traveled to Egypt and Israel to entertain the Canadian Troops. Jen appeared at the Vancouver International Comedy Festival (2004 & 2005), was profiled as a "rising star" on "Star TV" and appeared on the CBC radio program "Madly Off in All Directions" (2004 & 2006)

During one of her early ventures into the U.S., Jen used her comedic talents to break barriers... becoming both the first woman and the first Canadian to make it to the finals of the prestigious Boston Comedy Competition (2005).

Jen was also a finalist at the "Great Canadian Laugh Off" (2007). She has performed at the Halifax Comedy Festival (2007 & 2009) and at the St. John's Comedy festival in Newfoundland (2008). Segments from all have aired on television.

Most recently, Jen moved to New York City where she continues to impress and she is already a regular at Gotham Comedy Club, Governor's Comedy Club, The Broadway Comedy Club and other major venues in the area. Jen's half hour "Comedy Now" comedy special aired in September 2008 on CTV to rave reviews. She has recorded a segment of Canadian radio's "The Debaters" three times and has taped another TV spot in conjunction with the 2008 Canadian Comedy Awards Show!

All this and yet it's just the tip of the iceberg... Jennifer Grant is just starting to establish herself in the United States ... Clearly, the future is very bright for this extremely talented and funny young lady!
